Another R.A. reject. When I had finished the painting, whilst I had caught the expression and the effect of speed, there was something missing. I decided to frame the picture in a door. The cut outs which I carefully shaped I stuck on with expanding polystyrene to give the effect of an explosive force bursting through the door. I added colour to the door to make it look scorched. I was more satisfied with this. |
