From the same photograph by Gian Paulo Barbieri (Painting no 2.35 and no 2.38). I have painted a 3rd version incorporating bamboo.

This is a more dramatic and interresting painting. The use of bamboo to frame the nude helps to express her earthiness and brings out other aspects of her fullsome character.

Following this painting, I shall paint one more version, a "New Realism" detailed work. I am looking forward to this quite different challenge - to paint a visually authentic version.
